DigiFinex backed USDT switch to DFC and launch real USDT

Dear users:

As users know the USDT right now in DigiFinex is backed by DigiFinex with fixed rate 6.4 to Chinese Yuan. It is allowed to buy and sell but not deposit or withdraw due to this.

From Monday 27th Aug, we are going to switch this DigiFinex USDT to DFC and launch the real USDT.

DFC is DigiFinex stable coin with fixed rate to Chinese Yuan 1:1. So users can change current DigiFinex USDT to DFC at same fixed rate 1:6.4 free of changing fees. But purchase/sell DFC still has to go via authorized agent.

From 29th Aug, 06:00-08:00 (GMT+8) system is under maintenance and will change all the DigiFinex backed USDT to real USDT at once based on the average price of real USDT on Huobi OTC and OKEX at 29th Aug 07:00 (GMT+8). For example, on 29th Aug 07:00 (GMT+8) the average USDT price on Huobi OTC and OKEX is 6.9 to Chinese Yuan, then we will change all the DigiFinex backed USDT(fixed rate 6.4) at once to real USDT at this rate 6.9. During these 2 hours, all the open orders in USDT market will be canceled automatically. You can place new order after the maintenance. But please be aware of the price difference as switched to real USDT. We expect price changes in USDT market after switch.

If you don’t want to switch your DigiFinex backed USDT to real USDT, you can choose to change the DigiFinex backed USDT to DFC before Wednesday 29th Aug. After switch DigiFinex USDT to real USDT you can trade DFC and real USDT on USDT market. And all the USDT isl allowed to withdraw to other exchanges or deposit from other exchanges.
